Empire Grade Road

Empire Grade is a mountainous road that runs roughly parallel to Highway Nine to the west of San Lorenzo Valley. The area borders the University of California – Santa Cruz’s Upper Campus Natural Reserve and offers access to many biking trails. There are several small neighborhoods off of Empire Grade Road for those who desire seclusion and do not mind driving into town for goods and services.
